OUR STONE-GROUND FLOUR PRODUCTS

e produce our stone-ground flours in the same way today as when Littleton Grist Mill opened in 1798. All of our flours are made by taking organically grown grain and grinding it between two mill stones. This process crushes the grain without generating excess heat, thus preserving the quality and nutritional value of the flour.

STONE-GROUND FLOUR PRODUCTS
Unlike commercial white flour products, our flours and mixes still contain the bran, wheat germ, vitamin E and all whole grain nutrients. We recommend storing them in a cool dry place, or in the refrigerator.
In preparing our mixes we suggest using fresh milk or yogurt, and butter from your local dairy, fresh eggs, and pure maple syrup or honey.

MIXES
Littleton Spider Corn Cake Mix Made from a very old New Hampshire recipe. These corn cakes have a more robust corn taste but are still moist and light. In 1798 the mill produced the meal for the corn cake that was cooked on a spider skillet over the fire. Our recipe has been adapted for baking.
